The project is going to create substantial employment and income. Due to this project activity, some persons in the project area will be recruited as skilled and semiskilled workers by the company as per its policy. Therefore, substantial amount of employment and income is likely to be generated for the local people. So, the project will contribute in a positive manner towards direct employment in the project area. Some employment potential benefits are given below:
- Expected to employ a peak workforce of 140-150 people during construction phase.
- Long term employment of up to 380 people in the operation of the proposed silicon metal project for first phase
- Plus, additional jobs generated by local business in the supply of raw materials, finished products and services.
Benefits to the Region and the Country:
The plant will produce 35,000 TPA Silicon Metal as per the market requirement for which there is national and international market demand. The company will supply its product to domestic metallurgical industries and export its products also to foreign countries thereby improving regional and national economy.
